The River Thames Exhibition 2024

8th -31st May 2024

The River Thames, which is just a few miles south of the gallery has so many sides to it . With it’s fast flowing tide and deep channel, you see many boats and ships sailing by heading to the nearby docks. However there is so much more to the river than just logistics. From Fishing Boats, to Waders, silent relics from the past to fun and games at Southend pier; our three artists have depicted what the River Thames means to them.

Paul Alcock and Wendi Lee have created a selection of paintings depicting the atmosphere of the river. While Grace Silverwood has created a selection of dioramas and also carved a fresh selection of waders.
